Meta, the organization that possesses Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, has chosen to send off another online entertainment stage to rival Twitter.
Metta is developing an app that will allow users to post written updates like tweets.
According to sources, the app has just been named P92 and is in the early stages of development. Meta has also confirmed that it is working on a decentralized social network.
We are working on a text update-sharing social network, we believe there is a place for an app where creators and celebrities can share updates about their interests, according to a Meta spokesperson.
According to the report, the Instagram brand will be used for the P92 and users will be able to log into it through their Instagram accounts.
This new app will show the profile details of the photo-sharing app when logged in with an Instagram account.
Since this will be a decentralized app, users will be able to create their own rules for checking their servers and content.
The report said that users will be able to broadcast their posts to other servers, but it is not yet clear whether they will be able to follow each other.
Similarly, it is not clear whether users will be able to re-share posts like on Twitter.
The port further informed that the date of introduction of the app has not yet been revealed.
